Our Young Adults Ministry is for men and women in their 20s and 30s in the greater Scranton area.
We seek NLBC mission of “connecting real people to a real God” with those who are in college or starting their careers. Together, we tackle the unique challenges facing those in this stage of life as we strive to know God better, serve the body of Christ, and proclaim the truth of His Gospel to those in need. We aim to connect with God, with each other, and with our community in the following ways:
We aim to connect with God through study of His Word
and meaningful interaction with the truth.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17, Jn. 20:31, 2 Tim. 2:15, Matthew 28:19-20).
We accomplish this through:
Small groups
One-on-one discipleship
We aim to connect with each other by providing a place where anyone
feels welcome and by providing opportunity
to build relationships with deep roots.
(Acts 2:42, 2 Cor. 6:14, Eph. 2:14-22).
Past events include:
Game nights
Snow tubing
Christmas party
Movie night
We aim to connect with our community through meeting the physical needs
of those around us as a demonstration of the grace God has given to each of us.
(Eph. 2:8-9, Romans 12:1, Mark 10:45, 1 Peter 4:9-11, James 1:27).
